Have been busy editing some old images of a Trash the Dress session that I did some months back. There are some of those images on my blog already, but have been re-editing some for an AV I am doing up.

In addition to the low session fee offer, I am also looking for some ladies who would like their birth photographed. I am looking for 5 ladies only who would like their birth photographed.

I am offering these birth shoots free of charge and will be giving each of these ladies ALL of their photos on a disc, I will choose a selection to edit fully whilst the rest will have very basic editing done. I will also provide a DVD slideshow off your images. In return I will be attaining more experience in this line of photography and will require a model release of some images (none which are graphic and revealing) this will be discussed in detail with each couple so everyone is happy with what images are released.

Another week has almost passed, been pretty busy and pretty tired. My little boy has been pretty sick for almost 13 weeks now and its been worse the last week....he now has bronchitis in both lungs but is now on some pretty strong medication to try and beat it...fingers crossed it works. I am looking forward to getting some decent sleep and then maybe I will get more coherent time for editing!!

I have also had my mum visiting from NSW so not as much time on the PC, but here are a few edits from the Jinky retreat and also a couple for the Photo 5 that closed last night.

Have some exciting news to share.....I have 2...yes 2, photos published in the current Ideal Bride magazine....there is a Trash the Dress special. I have blogged them before but here they are again for anyone who may want to see them.

Wow... I am back from my weekend away at the Jinky Retreat and WOW... it was awesome! So glad I went, so worth the money and Barb was awesome...such a lovely lady! It was great to watch her work... such an inspiration! Even though Barb has a different style to me, I still learnt and took so much away from the weekend.

Also lovely to meet so many lovely like minded ladies, was a fun time that is for sure!

So I have been totally exhausted today, haven't had a chance to really start editing photos yet (it was hard to get great images with 15 other photographers there) but here is one little doll that I have managed to do tonight. She was the cutest little button!

I have also designed my new business cards....I like to change them often. I just ordered these so am looking forward to getting them in my hot little hands :)

There are 2 sides... not sure which is the front and which is the back.... they can really be either!!

Last weekend I made the early morning trek down to the Gold Coast for a Dawn shoot. Was my very first so was not sure how I would go but I am very happy with my results, there was also a sculpture exhibition on, with about 40+ sculptures scattered across the beach and sidwalk. Some were totally amazing, of course I had to get some shots of them as well.

What an interesting week it has been... hectic thats for sure... I have spent many hours madly (and I use that term literally) sewing up a storm making my girls medieval outfits for a camp they have this weekend..... they are currently living back in medieval times, learning to sword fight, shoot arrows etc. and tonight they have a medieval feast with a dress up competition.

I am glad its over, they turned out ok I think... made harder by the fact that they are so darn skinny I had to make tonnes of alterations to the pattern to fit them... and the hats were interesting to make too! Both the backs are lace up and that turned out pretty well too :)

So here they are.... these shots were taken in about 2 minutes flat as they had to leave... but I wanted photos first... lol

Ok, so this will be my last post before I move... the removalists come in the morning so the computer is being packed up tonight.... transferring broadband can take up to 8 working days.... man! So I will be offline for a bit... might be able to get some quick net time but not on my computer. So a few images before I go! Have been flat out lately... and I have had no internet... silly me thought it was a good idea to change ISP's... I didn't know then that I was going to be 2 weeks without internet access at all... and I also didn't know then that I would be moving... so in just under 2 weeks I am moving.. and fingers crossed my new ISP has it more together than they did to set me up!!!!

Haven't had alot of time for my photography as I have been flat out with work and packing etc. but I took time out with the family and went to Dreamworld last saturday.... I wasn't focused on the perfect photos... instead I just went for candids to show our happy fun day :) Here are a few!

I had the cutest little newborn to photograph yesterday.... he was such a little darling :) He didn't actually sleep much but he didn't cry much either :) He was so little and curly....was 2 weeks old but was 3 weeks early...so technically he should still be in the belly!!

Brisbane City : The Victory Hotel Burnt Down on the weekend!

so anyone who knows Brisbane has heard of the Victory hotel....and if you haven't you must live under a rock! lol The Victory is one of the most well known night spots of Brisbane Australia. In the wee hours of Sunday morning...a fire in the basement started & now the Victory Hotel is no more.... the popular night spot was in full swing, therefore it had to be evacuated. Thankfully there were no serious injuries or fatalities... a few people were treated for smoke inhalation.... and I am sure that there were many intoxicated people to contend with.

I was in the city on Sunday for a Hunt & Shoot with my Camera Club.... so took the opportunity to take some photos..... also took a few of the Treasury Building.

Went to a big model shoot at Pullenvale on Sunday...what an awesome location for photos...the property is being cultivated as a photography site so there are some lovely places to shoot....including a very old barn, very old wooden fencing...and the loveliest old rickety wooden bridge! I would love to have that so readily available!!

So I had a fantastic time...a bit overwhelming at times and I was absolutely exhausted by the end of it.....and had just under 1000 photos to my name by the end of it :)

There were a number of models there and I am not even sure I got photos of all of them?? lol But I think I got some pretty good shots that I am pretty happy with...and will add them as time goes by....including some more adding of shots I have taken over the past few weeks....had so much going on I have thousands of images to process its going to take me a while!!!

Morning, just thought I would add a few more of the pics I have been editing lately.........

These first ones were taken in Newcastle a couple of weeks ago when I was down there visiting a friend.....

Last night I thought I would set up my backdrop stand and one of the backdrops I bought about 6 weeks ago....and test out my new lights (well one of them anyway) for the first time since I bought them when I was sick about 4 weeks ago. Dante was the only guinea pig home, and he is not too keen on his photo being taken...so I didn't get perfect photos but some were cute anyway...most of the time he wasn't in front of the backdrop properly though and no matter how hard I tried he didn't want to stay! rofl Will add some more once I edit them.

And a few more pics of the girls taken a few weeks ago....the first one was Krista's idea...she wanted to make it look like she had no hands...just a bit of fun :)

And just one more of the edits from the BCG portrait workshop I did a week or so ago. Looking forward to the next shoot with BCG which is on 20/7.

I am going to the medieval fayre this saturday so I am hoping to get some great photos from that :) Also get some ideas for Krista & Bella's headwear for the medieval feast on their scout camp which is in September :) Sunday I have my Studio course with Rod Talbot......just looking forward to more experience behind the lights so I can feel I know what I am doing a bit more so I can practice on my kids....if they will co-operate! rofl

Went to a friends house in Newcastle for the weekend....did some pics of her 10 year old daughter and her newborn son... he is 7 weeks so not as new as I would have liked but have not been able to get down there until now. Bub didn't want to co-operate but had fun shooting her young lass :) She had fun too I think...well it was her idea to do a shoot with her in it so she must like her pic being taken at least! :)

Time goes by so fast....wow!

Ok so I have had a busy time of it lately...couple that with the flu and its been pretty exhausting! I am slowly getting better...still not 100% but I am getting there......at last!

On Saturday I had my first couple shoot....I am not entirely happy with it but it certainly was not an easy shoot...had a lot to contend with......so here are a few from that shoot.

And then on Sunday I went on a tour of Springbrook in the Lamington National Park just inland from the Gold Coast of Queensland. Having been so sick it was quite a tiring day but I am still glad I went. Was good to catch up with some good friends and good to get out and enjoy our beautiful country.....what it right at my doorstep!

In this photo the little white dot in the sky is actually the moon...it was about 3.30pm and the moon was already getting quite high in the sky. Down toward the right you can see a darker patch which is a beautiful waterfall.

Along the rainforest walk there was a couple of little spots where the rockfaces touched and it created a little tunnel to walk through...this is just one of them. They were really cool :)

Just one of the many waterfalls we got to see (and photograph) I love these ones from up high...you can't even see where it ends...waterfalls fascinate me....where does all the water come from? I really should investigate this so I can finally stop obsessing over it! rofl

This is one of my favourites too, I think its almost magical and I love the colours. You actually had to walk behind 2 of these waterfalls which was kinda freaky....and wet!

Going away this coming weekend so will hopefully have some enchanting baby photos to show you all when I return :)

Oh and I have some canvas' to pick up today...will have to show you how they turned out as well...excited about collecting those too :)

OK, so I have been a little under the weather...

Have been quite sick for almost a week now...am on the way up but still not well...but can't keep me away from the computer and photography for that long....so I have not been up to taking photos but have edited some...

My lighting system arrived on Thursday...it took me until yesterday (Sunday) to open the box....but thats as far as I went...I just can't face putting it together yet so it will just have to wait a little bit longer!!

I have also just bought a new prop/toy for Dante.... a sexy little pedal car fire engine :) will see about picking it up this week :) He is gunna love it...but so am I!! lol

Have some images from a group shoot to add but need to wait til I have the release forms back to show them...so watch this space...lol

So, I have finished processing my shoot from last weekend...not as good as I would have liked but better than I was expecting!!

I have a big weekend planned this weekend. I am going on a learning photoshoot all day on Saturday....am looking forward to that...not just to learn and shoot but the possibility of finding new locations is exciting too :)

On Sunday I am going to a camera fair...I am hoping and praying I can find a lens I am after at a really good price :) not getting too excited though cause I don't want to be let down!

My brother, sister and nephew are arriving here soon, they are going to a wedding up in Brisbane this weekend. It will be good to see them but I am disapointed I have so much on already as it means I won't be able to spend any real time with them...I would have loved to shoot them...especially my sister...a natural model I think...she reminds me of Alanis Morrisette :)

After not having very much time or opportunity to take photos for a couple of weeks, I have had a weekend full of opportunity and I grabbed it! On Saturday I went down to the Gold Coast and caught up with a friend from NSW. That was great...went to the beach....extremely windy but I still got some nice pics. It was Dante's first time at the beach and he loved it :) I will have to check with my friend before putting up any pics of her family...but will add some of my own once I process them :)

On Saturday I had a photoshoot in the morning....some in studio and then we went to a park. A little boy who was 3 years old and his mum & dad. Got some really cute pics...although he just would not sit still!! lol
I did have another 2 shoots booked for sunday afternoon but they have been rescheduled due to the weather.

So instead of doing the booked shoots I went to a BBQ with my little family. We went out near Wivenhoe Dam. There are some great spots out that way, will have to go out on a photography 'scouting' mission one day :)

We had a lovely time at the BBQ and I got some really cool shots....they had a small property and the kids had an absolute ball...they can't wait to go back again :)
So here are a couple of photos from Sunday at the BBQ, will put some more up after I get the chance to process them :)

Mothers Day...albeit a bit late!

Well mothers day has come and gone...not alot going on here with Dal as work and the girls away but I spent the day with my little man....we played out the backyard for a while...so mummy could get her photo fix ;) So here are a couple of pics from our time alone....

Another thing I did on mothers day was to have a play with some smoke and lights.... here is my little creation whom I have titled 'Space Crab' I think he is very cute! lol So thats my learning for the week....I learnt how to photograph smoke and then create a little being in photoshop from it.... was interesting! lol

I have 3 photoshoots this weekend, all different from each other....a lady and her 3 year old boy in studio, a 15 year old cheerleader in a park, and 2 little girls on the beach. So a busy time will be had but hopefully a very productive time :)

While I was waiting!

On Monday afternoon I was to go and collect Krista from the scout den after 3 days at camp....turns out that there was an accident on the Highway and they ended up being 3.5 hours late!! What to do....ah....take some photos I think.

so I toddle up to the Mt Gravatt Lookout to catch the sunset...didn't quite get up there in time for the setting sun...but did make the aftermath!

I then turned my eye to the City which was slowly being blanketed in darkness.....it was quite windy up there...and was getting very chilly. To try to prevent the tripod being shaken with such a long exposure I stood beside it....but the wind was coming from all directions so it was difficult..but I got some nice pics just the same....I think I would like to go to Mt Cootha soon and get the city at night from up there :)

Wow what a great weekend I have had....up until now I have only been using my speedflash or natural light. I have made the decision I wanted to learn studio lights and now is the time to begin. I am going to be doing Rod Talbots Studio course in a month or so but in the meantime.....

I got to have a bit of time with him and a friend of mine last night. It was great....I learnt so much and had so much fun and got to get a bit of experience as the model on the other side of the camera too. I feel blessed to have been given such a unique oportunity and am going to take from it everything I can.

I am in the middle of editing the pics of Na that I took last night and will upload some of those when I get the go ahead from her! lol We made a deal that we do go public without consent....works in my favour too that one! rofl

I also learnt a few tricks form editing so that will be fab too!! The learning will never end.....oh and one other thing I took from last night.....I feel alive...my passion for the art is so strong...this IS what I am meant to be doing.....I feel so fulfilled and I love it!

I have also been told how to clone (Thanks Na) and have been having a play...when I get better at it I will try something fabulous...so far I have done a couple of clones with my youngest two in them...I think they turned out pretty cute....excuse the photos as they are nothing special...wasn't trying for quality, just experience!! lol

Never even considered trying out this blog thing before....its all a bit daunting to tell you the truth...but I am willing to give it a shot :)

Hi...my name is Anneke, I live in Qld with my Fiance and 3 children....I have 2 more children who are older and no longer live at home.

My fiance and I own an LPG installation company which is doing quite nicely but keeps us both very busy....between running that and my photography I am on the go all the time. I spend alot of my 'me' time editing photos or designing some new piece of advertising for work...great 'me' time huh!? lol

I have been interested in photography since I was about 12 years old and got my first film camera....I pottered along with film until about 5 years ago when I won a Digital Point & Shoot. I loved it even more....I started to really think about what I was taking and strove to improve....then the yearning began....I wanted a DSLR. Dallas wasn't keen....it was too much money. Well...fate stepped in....my camera died. If I was going to buy a new camera I may as well get a good one right!? I spent 3 months researching and finally went Nikon. I loved it....I very quickly knew this is what I wanted to do. So was born Tummy To Toddler.

I take my photos mainly of pregnancy, newborns and toddlers but am also happy to shoot other more specialty shots as well. I am also a mother so naturally my children get to share the limelight :)

Anyway......I will put a few of my pics up now...add more as time goes on...and I learn how to do it all...... :)
